The Deerfold Centre
Our Founders
The Deerfold Trust was founded by Leslie Baker with his wife Gladys. The name Deerfold was taken from Gladys’s family home at Lingen in Herefordshire.
Leslie Baker, a businessman, retired to Bexhill-on-Sea in the 1970s and from small beginnings, developed the Sussex Healers’ Association (initially the Sussex Spiritual Healers’ Association) into the second largest spiritual healing association in the UK.
Leslie founded a charitable body to support spiritual objectives and the Deerfold Trust was established and registered as a charity in 1985, and the Deerfold Centre was opened six years later.
